Nobel Prize for Literature Awarded to Rock Legend Bob Dylan Nobel Prize for Literature Awarded
to Rock Legend Bob Dylan

On October 13th, the American folk and rock musician Bob Dylan was announced as the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature.
The Nobel Prize Committee in Stockholm declared that they were honoring one of the most influential songwriters of the 20th century for his poetic creativity in the great American song tradition. Dylan writes to perform with his work.
This makes the 75-year-old the first musician to receive this award. Dylan has not yet offered a response, although he still performed a 90-minute set on stage that very evening.

Most writers, Dylan fans and others were very surprised by the announcement. Many people were vocal in their criticism of the decision. Are song lyrics poetry now? Dylan has enjoyed success for 45 years, has written hundreds of songs and has had a major influence on pop culture, so it is clear that Dylan is a legend. But would it not have been more appropriate to award him the Nobel Prize for Pop Music? Well, the answer is blowing in the wind… And the fact is, the decision has been made. The prize will be awarded to Dylan in Stockholm on December 10th.

Congratulations to a successful singer / songwriter and thoroughbred musician!
